And I say.....

AMEN!

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America ' crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

He scares me because the America he's creating is directly opposed to the intentions of the Founding Fathers.

Although "scare" is the key word in this letter I'm more at the level of anger, quite honestly. How dare he trample on our Constitution! Who gave him the right to appoint dozens of czars who report directly to him! Who does he think he is violating his own legislation by firing an Inspector General for no reason and then smearing him because he was investigating his own friend, the mayor of Sacramento!

I'm beyond scared now. I'm angry and I know I'm not the only one. I fly my Don't Tread on Me flag and display my Tea Party yard sign. I went to the Alamo on Tax Day and I'll proudly stand at the Southfork Ranch/Dallas Tea Party on July 4th. Scared of Obama? No. He should be scared of me. I'm the taxpayer. I'm the voter. I'm the one who pays for his salary, the salaries of those miscreants in Congress, and for all the pie-in-the-sky bailouts they're thinking up. I hope they enjoy their time in "public service" now because election time is coming. I've got a broom and I know how to work. It's time to clean house and send all those weasels back home to the people they allegedly represent. They work for us, not the other way around. And you, Mr. President, work for us, too. Do you really fear the American people? Your fear-mongoring will enslave the poor through dependency and sqeeze the life out of the middle class with taxation. Enough! The tremors of confusion and discontent and will inevitably boil over and then the days of real reform will finally arrive. The American people will not sit idly by much longer. The sleeping giant will wake, and when it does, not even you will be too big to fail.

Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know I really enjoy your blog.

Also, wanted to share some perspective on Obama's healthcare "reform" from someone that works in healthcare administration. I live in TN but will be moving to Utah soon to be CFO of a hospital there. I'll try to keep this short - the Tennessee Hospital Association has started to try and calculate the impact of the proposed healthcare reform currently in the works ... and we are learning that it's going to cost TN hospitals $400 million dollars PER YEAR for the next 10 years. Yes, you read that right!!!

That's not reform ... that's the govt continuing to dump the cost of caring for the uninsured on the hospitals and insured citizens in this country. Hospitals care for them now - they show up in our ER and we treat them without getting paid a dime. Of course you are well aware that we are only able to provide these "free services" right now because the private insurance business helps offset these losses. So the insured patient population is of course also shouldering the burden of the uninsured right now too - their costs are higher in order to offset the losses hospitals take on the growing number of uninsured.

In the future proposed state of healthcare, the govt will insure these currently uninsured (plus any others that switch to the low cost govt plan), pay the hospitals less than cost while driving private insurance companies out of business (because they can't compete with the govts low premiums - which are sustained by forcing hospitals to accept payments at or below their costs), and deny services or medications to patients that they deem too expensive - all of which will drive innumerable hospitals and physician practices out of business which will in turn lead to a shortage of healthcare services ... you see where this is going (ummm, I'm seeing 2 year waiting lists for hip replacements). I'm just sick about it and I'm sure the impact to hospitals outside Tennessee will be similar.

Again, this is NOT reform. Why can't people see where this is headed?

Also as an FYI, our hospitals are seeing a huge spike in orthopedic services right now and I think it's because a lot of people have realized if you want to get your knee fixed or that hip replaced YOU'D BETTER DO IT NOW!!!!!

Thanks for blogging about these tough subjects. It's inspiring to find informed, intelligent women speaking up and sharing insights and experiences. I mostly blog about my kids for journaling purposes but I'm passionate about these important political issues threatening our freedoms.

Sorry this is so long...next time I comment I will just say "amen". :-)
