random thoughts mixed with things you should know

shasta daisy's...
you should plant them.
they are delightful and grow like weeds;
multiplying year after year.
my kind of flower!

and you know what else you can do with them?
purchase a cheap vase
(or use one of the millions you already have in your top cupboard)
plop 'em in some water,
tie a bow
and there you have
something cute and sweet
to give the ladies you visit teach
or friend or someone who just needs a tender thought.
cute hu?

my front yard is looking pretty good after all the rain.
though, i'm having a heck of a time keeping up with the weeds.
my husband says i'm obsessed about weeds.
i'm not.
my kids wonder why they keep growing back.
and they have to keep helping me pull.
i don't know.
it's something about the lessons of life, the garden of eden and stuff like that.

sadie has a friend named eden.
i like that name.

i enjoy subscribing in google reader to peoples shared items.
did you know you could do that?
right now i subscribe to krista, tammy, tiburon and kami's shared items.
if you think i might like what you share then tell me so and i'll give it a whirl.
lately i share much political info, wedding stuff, recipes and party ideas.
that's what i share.
mostly.

sometimes i unsubscribe to stuff, so i can focus more on my friends & family
and their shared items.

i found some really cool wedding blogs. they're on my sidebar if you're interested in current wedding idea's and trends.

my love for dogs is waning.
let's just say,
God made golden retrievers super cute
for a reason.
like to keep them from being killed by their master!
kidding.
she's great in the house.
it's the back yard that she turns into the mischievous dog from hell!

i've been lacking in energy lately. sometimes i feel kinda depressed.
that's not good. i've tried everything to kick it into gear: exercise, diet, getting out of the house.
finally i had to resort to one of those low carb/sugar energy drinks;
it seems to be doing the trick.

our tv's are off again. going on 2 weeks. i kinda like not hearing what's going on in the world.
(that random thought was written last week)

the tv's are back on.
it won't last long.

sometimes we pull the plug on the Internet too.
we take our job as parent's and the duty to drive our kids crazy, seriously.

one of my daughters is in africa right now.
when i have a kid leave somewhere whether it be africa or camp, efy or to grandmas for any length of time, i take it upon myself to give their room a good goin' through, organizing fest, if you will, a deep, thorough clean.

my lab mix is in desperate need of a bath. she has dried tear, goop lines on her face.
my golden does not need a bath because she swims on a regular basis. i'm sure our filters are getting a major work over.

well, it's time to actually make dinner for a change.
chicken n' dumplings. mmmmm
if it turns out good, i'll post the recipe.

This was a very relaxing post to read for me. Thanks.

I have been feeling some of the same things. Maybe a monster would do me good too :)

Love the daisies. They are the happy flower. And your home is so beautiful. I could so live there and be happy.

I love random posts. Especially when they contain pictures.

Your dogs are so cute. I love the pic of her on the window seat. So does your lab not swim? Because ours is deathly afraid of water and I always thought they were water dogs.

I've been lacking energy lately too. I thought it was just the heat.

Love the daisies. I wonder if they would grow down here? That's the one thing I miss about Utah - the flowers and green plants.

Love the daisy's. If I was there, I'd take some home with me and brighten up my little apt. Great idea.
I miss the dogs.
I've been waiting, to see a picture of Sh in Africa.
A little depressed? I hear ya.
A little down time is good, and then you just have to keep moving.
Nice post.

Maybe I need to try planting those daisies, I am up for plants that effortlessly multiply and look pretty at the same time.

Your dogs are too cute.

I have been feeling sluggish too, I think it's the heat and how summer just slows everything down.

Love your randoms and I would love to see your chicken and dumpling recipe. Chicken and dumplings are one of my all time favorite comfort foods!
