As I sit here getting ready to watch the GOP debate tonight on Fox,
I thought it would be a good time to type my main reasons as to why Mitt Romney has my vote.
1. I trust him.
I trust that he will repeal Obama Care. I trust that he'll get the economy back on track. I trust that he will be a compassionate support and a strong leader to our military. I trust that he will show strength in leadership regarding the Middle East. I trust that he will treat Israel with the respect they deserve as our friend and ally.
2. He says he is pro-life and I believe him. Am I troubled by the fact that this seems to be a change from when he was governor? Nope. I think it's a wonderful thing that he has changed on that front. How I wish more governors around the county would change their views on this issue in the same way.
3. He actually understands how to stimulate the economy. In stark contrast to Obama, who would like to take from the wealthy and spread their wealth around as he sees fit, Romney truly understands how to get our economy back on track. He is a friend to those in the private sector and would create a good business environment for working America.
4. He will keep taxes low in order to aid the private sector in their ability to produce and employ.
Mitt Romney understands that it is lower taxes, less litigation in business, less government red tape, & less regulations that are the basic fundamentals in a thriving economy.
5. So why Mitt over Bachmann?
Bachmann, in all honestly, is my favorite in the ring.
So why not Bachmann? One critically important reason--
though I believe both she and Romney would, in effect, lead the same while in the White House...the big difference is that Mitt Romney can actually beat Obama!
Do you remember how Obama got in the White House in the first place?
He had the powerful Progressive left organization behind him. They were determined to get the most far left candidate in history on their ticket, and they did it! It was the Progressive left who had the groundwork laid and money coming in to their candidate from all directions. Yeah, Obama had the media in his back pocket, as well as some other major factors, but a huge part of his win was his charged up, incredibly corrupt, well laid out organization.
None of this has changed. The machine has only become stronger.
One thing has changed though. More people are speaking up. More average citizens are seeing this impostor for what he really is. We can win this. We will prevail. We just have to stay united and strong. We have to vote and not let our emotions get the best of us. I think there are many, and hopefully most, who realize that this election is do or die for our country and who realize we have got to put somebody on the ballot who can compete with the money and organization ahead of us.
But Mitt Romney is the only one with the organization and funds behind him, giving conservative America the chance to save our country.
If you believe in America,
If you'd like to save this country from disaster
and If you are truly committed to beating Obama in the next election, then we have got to get real and vote Mitt Romney 2012!
Enjoy the debate tonight! It's broadcasting on Fox News here in about 10 minutes!

I'm watching the debate now---and Mitt is doing a great job... Some of the others are also.... Good debate.

I'm watching now too and Mitt gets better and better and better with each debate. I have always loved him...but mostly because I have met him. He was the stake prez when I was living in Cambridge, MA. He was not at ALL a "plastic Ken doll". He was as genuine and as wonderful as any stake president is and should be. He is a good, GOOD man who stands for so many good things. Can you imagine what he could do to bring back the honor and respect the White House deserves? It gives me chills to think about the value system he could represent for our country.... He's no smoking, lying, arrogant, self-aggrandizing fool, that's for sure!

ReplyDeleteMe and the kids in Cali watched the debate and discussed who we thought did well. Romney remains at the top of our list, and you raise THE most important principle. There are several who would do a fine job as POTUS, but we HAVE to do with the one who can beat Obama. If we don't we are so screwed.
ReplyDeleteIt became obvious Romney's strategy tonight was to let the so-called tier two candidates (Bachman, Perry, Santorum) go after Gingrich so as not to lessen his poll numbers. Don't get me wrong, I could vote with a clear conscience for Romney if I had to. Having said that, I still think at this point we ought to support those who champion our core ideals. We, Tea Party members, 9/12ers, and other true Conservatives have redefined the playing field with our gumption and sheer determination over the last few years. Who's to say what we can really accomplish if we really throw everything we have up on the proverbial alter. No one can honestly answer that question because no Conservatives have ever been bold and courageous enough to try.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree that this next election is critical. Literally life or death for our country, our ideals, and our freedom. At a time when so much emphasis is focused on on candidates and qualifications I hope we spend equally as much time (and hopefully more) on our knees. None of the candidates are perfect and, the last time I checked, the Almighty doesn't declare endorsements. Be that as it may His will be done and we had better ensure we're on His side when it all goes down.
Duchess, I agree with you, kind of. But If you believe, as I do, that Romney will put in and take out the same policies that my favorite, Michele Bachmann will....then why not go with the best bet- the candidate who can get more independent voters? The candidate that has the money and organization behind him; leaps and bounds ahead of the other candidates? It makes sense to me to go this route. Romney will serve us well. I know this is not what our friend Beck preaches- but though I love the guy, I disagree regarding how we go about electing our nominee. I personally have more faith than some in Mitt Romney. I know he'll prove me right, if he gets the nomination!

ReplyDeleteI love these types of posts. Mitt is the only candidate that understands business and economics. He is also the most stable of all of the candidates. Why is Bachmann your favorite? I can't get on board with her.
ReplyDeleteLove Love Love Mitt. Loved him even more after the debate. We got a Christmas card from him and I loved that (ha ha) and, it is SO cool I cannot stand it. But... one of the little widows in our ward that we have known for years is his aunt. She is like 92 and you should hear her say "Vote for Mitt - he will be awesome!!" (It's so cute.)
ReplyDeleteLove this post tooo - In total agreement. Especially with the fact that Mitt has the best chance to actually beat Obama.
loved the debate and thought Romney was great. I agree.
ReplyDeleteRomney all the way.

ReplyDeleteYou know, Michele Bachmann has not said one thing of which I disagree. I feel she represents who I am. I am super conservative and so is she, while remaining strong on national defense. Her values are the same as mine. She is bright. I respect her as a mother and her knowledge on the tax system. She was a tax attorney for many years. I think she's beautiful and funny and just a classy lady all around. I really respect her in many ways. The negatives for Prs. would be that she has never governed- and she won't get the more moderate votes needed to win. I don't believe she can win. She's already doing much good in the house as a congresswoman and I'm happy with her work there. We need people like her in the house and Senate.
Hi There, Just stopping by again to say Merry Christmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Betsy
Right now I don't see anyone but Romney!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not part of the crazy anti-Romney crowd. But his defense of several planks of the Communist Manifesto is too much for me.
