| bay took this cute pic of kota and sent it to me. i love her creative eye. |
don't you hate it when you are going down stairs and you think you are at the bottom only to realize, as you fall flat on your face, there were two more steps?
i'm thinking my ankle may never be the same.
i've signed up for and deleted a twitter account three times. i still don't get it.
my next door neighbor's dogs crack me up.
it sure is an extra bonus when you have a next door neighbor who becomes a very good friend.
makes things so very convenient.
just finished reading unbroken. it took awhile for me to really get into it, but once i got to the crash in the ocean and the survival raft surrounded by sharks, i couldn't put it down. pretty incredible a person could go through so much and live to tell about it. all throughout the book i continued to ask myself....when is his misery going to end? my son (inlaw) ryan recently went to a convention and had the opportunity to hear louis zampernini as the keynote speaker. what an inspiration!
tj pushed the send button and his mission papers are in!
FreaK oUt!
we had some friends over and i made this death by chocolate trifle. i didn't actually have any but it must have been good because it was devoured in a matter of minutes.
there are things i am sure i will miss as my kids grow up. but one thing i know i will never miss are science projects.
| i like this pic i took with my phone of amber taping her little number for channel 5 |
well, i guess that's it.
on to the rest of the day.
tonight is the big science fair project display event.
that's where i'll be.
don't be jealous!

I hate hate hate hate hate school projects. Even the school teacher that lives next to me proclaimed those same words last night as he was "helping" his daughter with hers.
ReplyDeleteCute doggies.
Mission papers - I know I will have so many mixed emotions! But TJ will be great.
I'm not sure if I dare click on the chocolate trifle link. I'm up three pounds in the past two weeks - ack!
Love Kota.
ReplyDeleteLove Mission papers submitted
Loved Unbroken. I was intrigued from the beginning and also wondered what more could happen to this man. What a wonderful story of humanity, forgiveness and the ability to triumph
I like the pics of the dogs, too. And as for Twitter, I never thought I'd be half as into it as I am now. It's a real guilty pleasure.
ReplyDeleteHAve not read unbroken, sounds intense.
ReplyDeleteYa for those papers being in. What an exciting time.
I don't blame you for freaking out about the mission papers going in; it's so hard to let go! You must have a lot of will power to not eat that cake. I agree with you about science projects/fairs...I can't stand them. I always make my hubby do those projects. Let us know when where T.J. will go when he gets his calling.
ReplyDeleteI hate the Science Fair. Well really, I don't mind the actual experiment, it's just the poster, write up and all the dumb presentation work that I hate.
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you a funny story about a science project...about My son Matt.
ReplyDeleteWhen he was in the 9th grade, I was working at the school as a teachers aide.
Well, one day his science teacher approached me and started to giggle when she said Matthew and his friend teamed up for their science project
and wanted to run a sperm bank. She respectively said NO DICE.
OH MY...yeah, that was my Matt. He had me on my toes all the time.
can't wait to hear about your son's mission call. It is a wonderful time.
That book sounds really good. I'll add it to my LIst.
No Trifle for me...I've dropped 5 lbs and it has been excruciatinly painful.
well that's a science project you'd never forget...'eh
Deletethe call will come Wednesday...we are very excited!
losing 5 pounds is excruciating--I hear ya!
I am sooo excited for you..and TJ of course...his
ReplyDeletecall will come too fast!;) I hope your ankle gets better...I have done that too...thought I was the only one! Congrats to Amber she is one talented young lady! And you really should have eaten some of the Chocolate Trifle;)
